Pacific Invite Regatta Overview

Hosted by Pacific Rowing Club, the Pacific Invite is a premier regatta designed to provide a competitive, inclusive, and safe racing environment for all athletes. This event brings together teams from across the region for fast, fair racing on a well-organized course.

Our goal is to foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and growth in a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every competitor—regardless of experience level—feels supported and valued. With efficient race execution, high-quality officiating, and a focus on athlete safety, the Pacific Invite is a celebration of rowing excellence and community spirit.

Parking

There is absolutely no parking at lake Merced and specatator parking can be found on this interactive google map.

Here's a summary of the event information for the Lake Merced Races:

  • Event Details: The course length is 1750m for both Juniors. The race course opens at 6:50 am.

  • Parking and Drop-off:

    • There is absolutely no parking available at the lake.

      • To ensure a fair and organized event, all attendees must follow the designated parking rules. Any attempt to misrepresent oneself to gain entry will be considered unsportsmanlike conduct. Under a new USRowing rule (effective 2025), the Chief Referee has the authority to impose penalties, including exclusion or disqualification. Additionally, teams with members who fail to comply with this policy may risk exclusion from next year’s event. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a smooth and respectful race environment

    • PRC Traffic and Parking (for all events at Lake Merced)

    • Parents should park at designated areas marked on the provided map.

    • An "Athlete Drop" zone is available just past the entrance for southbound arrivals, marked in yellow on the map.

    • Spectator parking is now available at the southeast side of the Lake, offering great viewing spots for the race start.

  • Trailer Parking: No overnight parking. Trailers should be parked between 5:00-6:00 am at designated spots marked in purple on the map.

  • Hospitality: Parents can drop off supplies but must relocate tow vehicles. Water will be available for hospitality needs on the northeast side of the building.

  • Staging and Rigging: Boat staging on the north side of the road. Keep roads clear for vehicle traffic.

  • Viewing Area: The top floor of the boathouse is open for parents to view.

  • Disposal: Recycling, compost, and garbage bins are available. Please clean up before leaving.

  • Regatta Logistics: No boat checks, but crews must meet USRowing safety requirements. Ensure proper boat launch procedure.

  • Coaches & Coxswain Meeting: Virtual meeting on March 13th at 8:00pm via Google Meet. A brief in-person meeting will occur at 6:40 am on race day.

  • Race Schedule & Results: Refer to live race results for updates.
