Race: Head of the Estuary

CANCELED: PRC will not to attend the Head of the Estuary Regatta this weekend. Normal weekend practices at Lake Merced will be held instead.

The Head of the Estuary Regatta is the first race of the fall season, hosted by Oakland Strokes.

WHEN

Rowers are expected to arrive at Oakland by 7:30 AM. Racing Goes from 9:00-10:00 AM. We should be done by 12 noon, if not earlier. 

WHERE

We will meet at the Oakland Strokes boathouse located at 4675 Tidewater Ave, Oakland, CA 94601.

Map of course/best viewing

The best viewing opportunity will be at the combined start and finish line at the Park Street Bridge.  Racing will start at the Park Street Bridge and the rowers will race around Coastguard Island returning back to the Park Street Bridge for the finish. 

BRING

Water, racing uniforms, sunscreen, and food for after the race.  Because it is a shorter day and most athletes will only have one race we will be providing light hospitality for rowers. Please be sure to make sure your rower has a good breakfast.
