CANCELED: PRC will not to attend the Head of the Estuary Regatta this weekend. Normal weekend practices at Lake Merced will be held instead.

This weekend is the Head of the Estuary Regatta--the first race of the year and the first race ever for novices. 

Racing is on Sunday but we have been invited by the hosting team, Oakland Strokes, to practice on the racecourse on Saturday. Pacific will leave the trailer at the Estuary on Saturday and will return the next day for racing. (All squads will load the boat trailers during their normal Friday practice.)

WHEN

Practice will be from 9:15 to Noon (please note that this is a later start time than previously communicated). Rowers are expected to arrive at the Oakland Strokes boathouse by 9:14. We will arrive at Oakland and unload our boats rig them up and hit the water.  We will roughly be done around 12 noon if not before.  

Some squads might arrange to have teams meet at the boathouse first to arrange carpools. Coaches will communicate with select teams if that is the case.

WHERE

We will be at the Oakland Strokes boathouse located at 4675 Tidewater Ave, Oakland, CA 94601.

BRING

Water, snacks for after practice, and sunscreen.  Hospitality will not be provided for the practice.  

PARKING

Oakland Strokes will be wrapping up their own practice at 9:15 so there will be limited parking at the beginning. There will be more space available at pickup time.
