New rowers, regardless of age, all begin their rowing career as a Novice rower.  It's a unique experience because novice rowers, regardless of age, compete against rowers with the similar rowing experience throughout the southwest region.  The goal of the novice year is to lay a strong foundation for new rowers to be successful through high school and onto college. Almost more importantly rowing at PRC will provide skills to take to all facets of life, becoming one's best self and making long lasting friendships along the way.
